Turkey’s defense minister called on Kosovo authorities to extradite supporters Fethullah Gulen and close his financed school, whom he blames for a 2016 attempted coup.

Turkish defense minister, Hulusi Akar, made the statements following his meeting with Kosovo counterpart Rrustem Berisha as part of his official visit to the capital Pristina.

Akar said after meeting Berisha that relations between the two countries are good, and they should remove the barrier between the two countries created by FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey.

Turkish minister was hosted in the Ministry of Defence of Kosovo with an ofifical ceremony.

Akar during his visit to Kosovo met Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and other senior state ofifcials.

He came to Kosovo after a visit to North Macedonia where he met senior state officials of the neighboring country.
